Group Life and AD&D
Life Insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), and disability insurance can help protect you and your family during difficult times.
TCU provides basic group life insurance, AD&D, as well as short-term and long term disability, at no-cost to you.
You are automatically enrolled in Group Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) and Disability coverage once you meet the eligibility requirement.
Group Life & AD&D
If you are scheduled to work 30-40 hours per HR Records, your coverage is 2.5 times your base annual earnings to a maximum of $450,000.
Dependent Life
If you are married, your spouse is enrolled for $5,000 and your eligible dependent children (up to age 26) are enrolled for up to $2,000.
Long Term Disability
Your monthly LTD Disability Benefits will be 66.67% of your weekly pre-disability earnings, up to a maximum of $13,000 less deductible sources of income. The period for which a benefit is payable will start after 180 days.
Short Term Disability
Your weekly STD benefits will be 66.67% of your weekly pre-disability earnings, up to a maximum of $3,000 less deductible sources of income. The period for which a benefit is payable will start after 29 calendar days for injury or sickness.
